There's always that one guy with a certain killer instinct, and the lengthening nights of Autumn remind us of the darkness within. But Autumn also means the comfort and security of a bountiful harvest, which makes it the perfect time to curl up with a crime.

Four Calgary-based writers bring in a delicious chill to make the blankets feel that much warmer, with denouements to conquer the darkness:
